The State Liberals have today welcomed the announcement made by Costa Adelaide Mushrooms, which will see a $60 million expansion to the Monarto mushroom facility.

“As the local Member, it’s great to see such a significant investment in the region,” said Member for Hammond Adrian Pederick

“This is strong vote of confidence from Costa Mushrooms in the Monarto facility and our region.

“A significant benefit of the expansion is the 200 employment opportunities which will be created as a result, especially in a state with the highest unemployment rate in the nation.

“Along with the 200 jobs, Monarto will double its production, increasing from 120 to 240 tonnes per week.

“I look forward to the opportunities and benefits as a result of this expansion and I am eager for its prospective completion in December 2018.”
