Boost to Sporting Facilities in Hammond

The latest round of the Marshall Liberal Government's Sporting Infrastructure Projects 2021-22 grant program has been announced. These grants are for grassroots infrastructure projects. This money has and continues to help build new grandstands, changerooms, toilets, kitchens, canteens, first aid rooms and is transforming clubs into wheelchair friendly spaces.

Projects receiving grants include: 

$1.5 million - Rural City of Murray Bridge - To construct a new sport stadium for Basketball at the Murray Bridge showgrounds.

$25,200 - Borrika Tennis Club Inc. - to construct a tennis court.

$17,900 - The South Australian Barefoot Waterski Club Inc. - to construct a multiuse clubroom at Purnong Road, Caurnamont.

$70,000 - The Strathalbyn Football Club Inc. - to refurbishing existing changeroom facilities to meet AFL guidelines and construction of decking.

Mr Pederick said "I welcome this further investment in grassroots sporting facilities. As we know sporting clubs are vitally important in our regions for the physical and mental wellbeing of our communities."
