State Liberal Member for Hammond, Adrian Pederick, has today welcomed the announcement of $12.5 million of Federal Government funding for the Murraylands.
$7.5 million is funding the development for the SA Motorpsort Park just outside Tailem Bend.
“This project will be a real boom for Tailem Bend, Murray Bridge and all surrounding districts. The Peregrine Group have the vision and are keen to connect motorsport activities with other ventures in the region,” said Mr Pederick.
“I am excited for the opportunities and possibilites this development will bring, such as potentially holding a Clipsal event at the SA Motorsport Park.
“Having this multiple use Motorsport Park will draw thousands of people into the Murraylands, which is a win for the region.”
A further $5 million announced today will go towards the Gifford Hill Development.
“As the Local Member, I am so pleased and excited about this development,” said Mr Pederick.
“This $5 million from the Federal Government will give the Murray Bridge Racing Club and its investors hope and confidence to keep growing and moving forward with the Gifford Hill Development.
“I thank the Federal Government for their support regarding development and growth in South Australia and the Hammond electorate.
“Both these projects are just so fantastic for the Murraylands region, and to see $12.5 million worth of funding being implemented into the area in one day is a good day for the region.”
