If elected, a Marshall Liberal Government will assess the feasibility of extending the Adelaide Metro public bus system to Murray Bridge.

If elected, a Marshall Liberal Government will upgrade the Emergency Department at the Murray Bridge Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.

The upgrade will comprise a $7 million investment to improve the hospital’s vital services by doubling the number of resuscitation and treatment bays, as well as other significant improvements to the facilities.

Some of the worst black spots in regional South Australia, including in the Hammond Electorate, will be targeted through a $10 million funding fix under a Marshall Liberal Government.

Member for Hammond Adrian Pederick has been fighting for mobile blackspot funding and welcomed the announcement with a number of notorious blackspots in his electorate.

An initiative to deliver vital bowel cancer procedures earlier and prevent cancer progressing will save lives in the Hammond Electorate.

As part of the State Liberals’ $5 million Bowel Cancer Prevention Initiative, the policy commits to:

1. Eradicate, within 12 months of the election, the overdue waiting list for a colonoscopy after a positive faecal occult blood test; 

2. Regularly publish the numbers and waiting times of people requiring a colonoscopy after a positive bowel cancer test result; and

3. Pursue the national time target for a colonoscopy after a positive bowel cancer test result.

Member for Hammond Adrian Pederick has said that the Murray Bridge community would be able to bounce back from the tragic structural fire that broke out at the largest employer in Murray Bridge, Thomas Foods International (TFI). 

“This incident is a tragedy and my thoughts are with TFI, their employees, individuals, primary producers, feedlotters, and freight operators who all have their livelihoods invested in this business,” said Mr Pederick.

Member for Hammond, Adrian Pederick, has been advocating on behalf of Whalers Housing Association after they received a water bill of some $20,000.

“Whalers is a not-for-profit organisation which provides a home and services for disadvantaged people, including victims of domestic violence, homelessness and much more,” said Mr Pederick.

If elected in March 2018 a Marshall Liberal Government will develop a personal protection mobile phone app to help protect victims of domestic violence in South Australia.

The Hammond Electorate continues to face challenges with domestic violence, with 25,000 reported instances of domestic violence across Australia last year.
