Xenophon wants to silence regional voices
Nick Xenophon’s reckless plan to abolish 18 state electorates will have a devastating impact on regional South Australia and will only further centralise power in the city.
“Getting rid of regional MPs will further isolate regional communities in this state who have been neglected by the State Labor Government for the last 16 years,” said Liberal Member for Hammond, Adrian Pederick.

SA Water has released an indicative minimum water price of 49c/kl and up to 99c/kl for higher quality water under the 12 GL NAIS proposal.

According to a statewide survey, Hammond landowners and water licence holders being slammed by rising Natural Resources Management (NRM) system fees believe their levies are too high and are not even aware of how they are being spent.
The survey on the Natural Resources Management (NRM) system launched in April this year by Shadow Minister for Environment, David Speirs, also revealed that an overwhelming majority of respondents are dissatisfied with the current NRM system.
