An initiative to deliver vital bowel cancer procedures earlier and prevent cancer progressing will save lives in the Hammond Electorate.
As part of the State Liberals’ $5 million Bowel Cancer Prevention Initiative, the policy commits to:
1. Eradicate, within 12 months of the election, the overdue waiting list for a colonoscopy after a positive faecal occult blood test;
2. Regularly publish the numbers and waiting times of people requiring a colonoscopy after a positive bowel cancer test result; and
3. Pursue the national time target for a colonoscopy after a positive bowel cancer test result.Read more
Member for Hammond Adrian Pederick has said that the Murray Bridge community would be able to bounce back from the tragic structural fire that broke out at the largest employer in Murray Bridge, Thomas Foods International (TFI).

A long overdue funding injection of almost $30 million for three schools in the electorate of Hammond has been welcomed by local Member of Parliament Adrian Pederick.

In a key commitment to health services in Murray Bridge, the State Liberals today announced that they will ensure the heated pool and spa at the Murray Bridge Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital remain open and operational if elected in March 2018.
SA Health is currently responsible for the maintenance of the heated pool and spa which have both been closed to the public for extended periods of time as maintenance works continue to be delayed.Read more
