“Applications are now open for Round 42 of the Active Club Program and Round one of the Female Facilities Program,” said Mr Pederick.

“The Female Facilities Program has been established to provide sporting clubs and associations with the opportunity to develop new or upgrade old change facilities, with the hope to also increase female participation within the sporting field.

“Female participation is of great importance and encouraging further involvement is always welcomed.

“I encourage sporting clubs and associations within the Hammond Electorate to take advantage of this potential funding opportunity.

“Round 42 of the Active Club Program is also open and this program is designed to assist clubs with growing their capability to reinforce and maintain sport within their community.

“Funding opportunities include; club promotion, sporting equipment, volunteer and management training, equipment for grounds maintenance, medical training and equipment or uniforms.

“Sporting clubs within regional areas are of great importance, they provide an encouraging, safe and educational environment for all participants, whilst at the same time promoting awareness and act as ambassadors on issues such as road safety and smoking.

“These grants will provide beneficial outcomes to successful sporting facilities within the Hammond Electorate and I encourage all sporting clubs to get involved and apply, details on how to apply can be accessed by contacting my office on 8531 1676,” said Mr Pederick.
