Murray Darling Basin Plan needs to be delivered

Member for Hammond, Adrian Pederick is committed to ensuring the Murray Darling Basin Plan is delivered in full.

“I am committed to seeing the full 3,200 gigalitres of water returned to the river system,” said Mr Pederick.

“This water is vitally important to the health and prosperity of the Murray River and Lakes Alexandrina and Albert.

“A healthy system will not only benefit South Australia but will benefit the Murray Darling Basin as a whole.

“South Australians have developed some very efficient irrigation systems, however, increased water efficiencies need to continually develop and smarter and more efficient systems need to be implemented across the whole basin.

“Basin states and the Federal Government must all work collaboratively to deliver the plan in full and secure our environmental, irrigation and critical human needs water into the future,” said Mr Pederick.
