State Liberal Member for Hammond, Adrian Pederick has called on the Weatherill Labor Government to increase funding to seven South Australian Regional Development Australia (RDA) offices.

Following substantial cuts from the Weatherill Labor Government, RDAs receive only $1.4 million in annual funding.

Liberal Member for Hammond, Adrian Pederick, has written to new Regional Development Minister, Geoff Brock, about the distance threshold of the Patients Assistance Transport Scheme (PATS).

PATS allows South Australians living in rural locations to claim financial assistance to help pay for travel, escort and accommodation costs when they travel over 100 kilometres each way to see a specialist.

I would like to take this opportunity to notify all sporting organisations in the Hammond electorate that applications close soon for Round 37 of the Active Club Program.

The Active Club Program provides assistance to strengthen and sustain community sport and active recreation organisations through club development, programs and equipment.

A Marshall Liberal Government will provide $15 million for the Murray Bridge Racing Club Gifford Hill development to reignite the South Australian horse racing industry and create jobs in the Murraylands region.

Under Premier Weatherill and Labor, the Murray Bridge Racing Club development has stalled and South Australia’s racing industry, which is a huge employer in South Australia, has received little support.

On behalf of the State Liberal Party I wish to reassure Housing Trust residents in Hammond that a Marshall Liberal Government will not be forcibly removing tenants from their homes as claimed by the Housing Trust Tenants’ Association.

A letter that has been sent from the Housing Trust Tenants’ Association is nothing more than a disgraceful scare campaign designed to cause distress to Trust residents.

A Marshall Liberal Government will double black spot funding to make South Australian roads safer and free up congestion, if elected on March 15.

The funding increase will take the total state and federal capital expenditure on black spots in South Australia to $17 million per year.

A Marshall Liberal Government will commit an additional $125,000 per year for four years to battle fruit fly, if elected in March.

Liberal Member for Hammond Adrian Pederick said the extra funds would enhance border protection and provide support to local growers.

A Marshall Liberal Government will transform South Australia into the home of motor sports by adding a second V8 Supercar event and establishing two distinct motor sport seasons that will attract tourists, create jobs and grow the State’s economy.

“A Marshall Liberal Government will bid for a second V8 Supercar event to be held in a regional location and build two distinct motor sport seasons around the two V8 events,” said State Liberal Leader Steven Marshall.
